The 2022 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examination has reached its conclusion. Learners will now have to wait more than a month before they find out how they did during the important examinations.
Marking, consultations, standardisation and several other important activities will take between now and the day learners receive their results.
The Department of Basic Education (DBE) revealed that Minister Angie Motshekga will announce the results of the class of 2022 on Thursday 19 January 2023.
Learners will then be able to collect their results at their school or at the examination centre they wrote their exams at on Friday 20 January 2023.
Several other important dates were announced by the department which learners must take note of. This includes registration deadlines for examination checks, remarks and rewrites.
Here Is The 2022 Matric Results Release Schedule
19 January 2023 – Minister to announce the results of the Class of 2022
20 January 2023 – Statement of results available at exam centres/schools
3 February 2023 – Last day to apply for remarking/rechecking of examination scripts
8 February 2023 – Last day to register for the 2023 May/June examinations
15 March 2023 – Last day to register for the 2023 October/November examinations
Learners are reminded that there are several programmes available to improve their results if they want to. The DBE also provides support to learners wanting to improve their results through the Second Chance Matric Programme.
